Bernstein Dental Centre is equipped with the technology our North York dentists need to provide patients with dental care including digital x-rays, panoramic x-rays and intraoral scanners.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
The technology North York dentists use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments more efficient.
The ability to display digital x-rays and scans on the monitors in our treatment rooms allows us to show you any oral health issues we are concerned about and walk you through your treatment options.
Our goal is to provide you with dental care and ensure that you are informed about your oral health. The technology at our clinic helps us do that.
Digital x-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic x-ray film. They produce detailed computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions, allowing your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic x-rays provide a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic x-rays are often used to help plan treatments for implants, dentures, braces, and extractions.
Intraoral scanners create digital dental impressions our your teeth and gums, an alternative to traditional dental impressions that many patients can find messy. Your dentist uses a handheld optical scanning wand to take a digital image of your teeth within minutes. This device provides your dentist with the ability to capture accurate data to create digital replicas of the hard and soft tissues of your mouth.
